Heidi is a California native with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis and has experience as a lobbyist for University of California students.

Judy's career has flowed into many areas within the fashion, photography and advertising world for 20 years. Most recently she put her marketing and communications skills to work in the field of international education where she developed branding and communications campaigns targeting parents, alumni and prospective students at Kodaikanal International School, and subsequently at the Inventure Academy -- both in India. Her diverse background gives Judy a broad awareness and deep experience as a multi-faceted visual communicator.

A seasoned public relations and marketing professional, Karen Amster-Young has over two decades of marketing, public relations and writing experience. Currently, Karen works with Madison On Main, and independently, offering strategic counsel on new product launches, particularly in the consumer food category and home/design. She is also a prodigious freelance writer; her articles have appeared in numerous magazines. In 2013, she added 'non-fiction book author' to her impressive resume with the release of The 52 Weeks: Two Women and Their Quest to Get Unstuck , with Stories and Ideas to Jumpstart Your Year of Discovery (Skyhorse Publishing).
In 1992 Karen founded Amster-Young Public Relations, Inc. (AYPR), an award-winning, full-service marketing and public relations agency. The agency represented clients from a wide-range of industries, including fashion, hospitality, business-to-business, and home/design. Highlights of the agency’s work include the award-winning successful launch of FIJI Water and ITO EN Teas®. The firm also represented Federated Merchandising Group, the Wallpaper Council, the National Tabletop & Giftware Association, and handled numerous projects for the American Cancer Society, the Hong Kong Tourist Association, prominent antique shows, and restaurants. Karen was named one of the top “Forty PR Stars under Forty” by PR Week magazine and has been featured in numerous trade magazines.
Prior to starting AYPR, Karen worked at Ketchum Public Relations in New York where she and Heidi started a personal and professional relationship that has lasted decades. Prior to joining Ketchum, Karen was a communications executive with Citibank, N.A.
Karen lives with her husband and 14 year-old daughter in Manhattan.
